Black Dog at Night

Thunk thunk thunk
A spot of black in the gloom
Rustle of movement at night

But I smile and snort
Calling out
For the little Dachshund dog
Snuck in at night

Nothing to fear
For what simpler
Elusive and pleasant pleasure

Than the flow state of
Understanding something
Knowing there is no need to be afraid
And a simple connection with other animals?

All the best,
J.W.H. Hobbs
